30 days sober today. My sobriety date is April 1, which is April Fool's Day--a wonderfully ironic date to remind me of how much of a fool I've been always rationalizing that "it will be different this time..."

It gets worse, trust me: I've been in and out of this theme park of insanity they call alcoholism for over 25 years.
Abstinence is the only solution for a real alcoholic, like me.
This time, I intend to hold onto this priceless sobriety date and not let go!
