Grieving the loss of my first love that I had lost contact with. He died 3/6/2023 from phentynol poisoning/overdose. You would think that would motivate my sobriety but it's actually what triggered my active addiction phase...
Currently trying to find the silver lining in the darkest storm of my life thus far.
To say I'm overwhelmed would be an understatement

The first step is admitting that you have a problem. From there when you have shared your story with others we are here to open the doors to help you understand what you need to do next.
I feel like I am admitting I have a problem. I referred to it as active addiction. I'm here on a sobriety app looking for support because I havd zero in my life currently. Not really sure how else to admit I need a change due to this problem I have. Thank youu
Jess it sounds like you have a lot going on, and it’s awesome that you are ready and looking to make a change! Get hooked up with an addiction counselor, they are going to be your best support in getting sober.

I'm doing counselling and group therapy through the affect app. It's helping. I'm just having trouble with actually walking through the open door. Something keeps holding me back..
