Today I’m grateful for so many things, including:
•I’m not expected to be perfect and can allow myself to have bad days.
•I deal with bad days by calling other alcoholics and eating more than usual.
•Mom got home safely.
•My credit card and state taxes are paid off. I’m making strides toward a more manageable financial situation. I can’t expect abundance while spending other people’s money.
•My first day back lifting went well (I didn’t injure myself).
•Barkley is a perfect angel. I’m blessed to be able to love and care for him for another day.
•I get to see my friends tonight. Some new guys will be coming, and I’m grateful I can help pass along the gift of fellowship that was so freely given to me.
•I have so many friendships today. Genuine relationships built on self-disclosure and trust.
•I’m grateful to have God at the center of my life and peace at the center of my being.
•I came to the program because I was scared of my old way of life. Today I stay, not out of fear of the past but of excitement for the future.
God, thank you for my life.
