Today I am grateful for so many things, including:
•This morning's reminder of the preciousness and fragility of life. Please pray for my friend and sponsee who lost his wife in a car accident last night. I'm grateful to be sober and able to be there for him.
•An opportunity to chair a meeting this morning and start the weekend with service.
•I woke up this morning and, as a result, have another opportunity to be the best version of myself.
•Sobriety has taught me the importance of my word and of honoring my commitments.
•My family and Barkley love me unconditionally.
•I saw many of my friends for our regular Friday night of fellowship.
•Seeing Akram pick up 90 days. It’s always such a blessing to bear witness to other alcoholics' journey through sobriety.
•I’ve made it this far in life relatively unscathed. It’s only by the grace of God that I’m alive and reasonably happy, and healthy.
•As I grow in the program, I have more and more room for happiness.
•The will of God will never take me where the grace of God will not protect me.
God, thank you for my life.
-Mike
