The gratitude I feel today is a direct result of the work I did yesterday.
•I’m grateful that after four months, dozens of interviews, and hundreds of applications, I’ve finally accepted a job offer.
•I’m grateful to have found a role in the mental health field that allows me to use my degree and my natural skills and abilities.
•I’m grateful to have a great relationship with my new boss already.
•I’m grateful to my friend Sam for referring me to the position.
•I’m grateful for all my friends and family who have been so encouraging and supportive during this entire process.
•I’m grateful that I can finally stop paying for LinkedIn Premium and take down that green “Looking for Work” banner.
•I’m grateful that I was in a position to work a “get well” job and focus on my sobriety for the past two years.
•I’m grateful for all the time I’ve been able to spend with my dogs during my job hunt.
•I’m grateful that yesterday's celebration consisted of a haircut and some ice cream rather than a bottle and a bag.
•I’m grateful for all the rejection emails that led me to a job that aligns with my spiritual and financial goals.
Self-will is as fragile as fine china. We need to be more like Tupperware than fine china — we’ll last longer and be invited to more dinner parties.
