Today I’m grateful for so many things, including:
•Witnessing Barkley’s close encounter with a bird this morning and the subsequent game of dog detective.
•I get to chair the 9:30 meeting at the NSFC this morning, and I’ll be speaking at the noon meeting at Bloopers. I’ve been given lots of service opportunities this weekend.
•My sober Friday night routine went off without a hitch. I got to see some of my friends, laugh, and cheat on my diet.
•Diet plus exercise gets results. It is that simple. I’m starting to like the way I look.
•I have people who I can run my thinking by. Most of the time, my thinking needs supervision.
•The positive impact prayer and meditation have had on my mental health and overall well-being.
•Seeing Jacob turn towards service when his life gets complicated.
•I’m grateful for the people in the rooms who showed me that IT WORKS. I wouldn’t have believed them had I not seen it with my own eyes.
•I’ve met my destiny on the road I took to avoid it. I’ve found my spiritual home.
•The reminder in one of this morning's readings that insight without action quickly loses its potency. This is a program of action.
God, thank you for my life.
