The gratitude I feel today is a direct result of the work I did yesterday.
•I’m grateful that I have sponsees who want a spiritual experience and are dedicated to the work.
•I’m grateful that I have a few weeks to figure out why I haven’t been getting good sleep.
•I’m grateful that even when I don’t sleep well, I can still show up for myself and take care of business.
•I’m grateful for the cute way Norman wakes me up in the morning.
•I’m grateful for the ability to be present, more often than not.
•I’m grateful that last nights H&I seemed to make an impact on the clients. Their emotions also made an impact on me.
•I’m grateful for a busy day full of tasks that move me closer to my goals.
•I’m grateful to know I’m loved, to always have food and water, and to have a safe place to rest my head each night.
•I’m grateful that my self-talk has dramatically improved throughout my sobriety. I used to be so mean to myself.
•I’m grateful for a program that gives me the tools for spiritual growth. I’m thankful this is a lifetime task.
Self-will is as fragile as fine china. We need to be more like Tupperware than fine china — we’ll last longer and be invited to more dinner parties.
