The gratitude I feel today is a direct result of the work I did yesterday.
•I’m grateful to have seen all my friends and for the laughs we shared at last night's meeting.
•I’m grateful for the opportunity to buy a new car, even if the process isn’t the most fun.
•I’m grateful to have so many people who believe in me, even when my faith falters.
•I'm grateful that life now feels like a bright, beautiful, loose-fitting garment—comfortable, safe, and incredibly fun.
•I’m grateful to know that I'll be challenged during this upcoming period of change and, as a result, will be blessed with the growth I seek.
•I’m grateful for Barkley and Norman. They both add so much to my life in their own way.
•I'm grateful that the Twelve Steps taught me to be my own best friend and, once I learned to love myself, enabled me to extend that love to others.
•I’m grateful for the willingness to grow and change and shoulder whatever responsibility entails.
•I’m grateful that I’m only a week away from a schedule change that will allow me to consistently attend all my favorite meetings.
•I’m grateful to all the men in AA who reached out and made me feel welcomed when I was a pink-haired, rat-tailed, semi-insane newcomer.
The root of joy is gratefulness.
