The gratitude I feel today is a direct result of the work I did yesterday.
•I'm grateful for the two hours spent with my sponsor last night. Sobriety comes with many gifts, making him a busy man, so having his undivided attention was special.
•I’m grateful to wake up and spend time with my best friend this morning.
•I’m grateful for all the excitement and optimism I feel about a particular job opportunity that I interviewed for yesterday.
•I’m grateful that while I have a vision of how the next year of my life might unfold, I know that whatever happens, I will be okay.
•I’m grateful to have a backyard that I can care for and spend time in the sun before it gets too hot.
•I’m grateful for everything in my life that hasn’t gone the way I thought it should. All the challenges and struggles in life have led me to this moment of immense peace and gratitude.
•I’m grateful that my back doesn’t hurt today.
•I’m grateful for a full day with no responsibilities. I’m excited to spend the day relaxing with the dogs and seeing some close friends.
•I’m grateful to finally realize that I am not the center of the universe. I am just part of the Whole. One of many.
•I’m grateful that the results of my life are in God’s hands. All that’s required is that I continue to try and align my will with his and put in the necessary legwork.
I pray that I may accept every challenge. I pray that each acceptance of a challenge may make me grow into a better person.
