4 years no program but i kind of want one

Specifically I'm having issues finding one that is lgbtq centered, and doesn't allow smoking indoors, and is secular in nature (i have deep rooted religious trauma that was part of my drinking).

I've heard of secular groups but when i go to their links, either the websites are gone or there's nothing going on in my area. I'm not in a place where i can organize or lead something of this nature (currently ive been out of work 10 months with a debilitating hip injury and it's affected my ability to focus and fuction from being so limited) but despite being committed to my physical sobriety this long i sometimes worry for my emotional sobriety, and also feel i lack the support systems that come from a group or sponsor. Has anyone else had this in their small community?

Yes, small town gal over here. How comfortable are you with zoom meetings? I found secular meetings online, with zero religious speak, through the EverythingAA app… which I know, ya hear AA and think UGH churches(because previously they’ve been the only ones willing to hold the meetings) but give it a try, I’m pretty sure there was an LGBTQIA filter as well. Plus, you get to meet people outside your area.

I'll look for that, I'm down to try it! I haven't used zoom much but I know it's fairly simple to use, plus it decreases anxiety about going somewhere irl and then feeling awkward so I appreciate this suggestion

Let me know how you made out if you need any help I definitely try and help you find some meetings.
