40 days sober and I feel good. Besides going through PAWS and being off Wellbutrin, I’m embracing all the emotions that come at me. It’s been 2 months since I had to put down my pit bull, dexter, and I’ve been missing him a lot lately. He the light during my dark days and I know he’s happy in doggy heaven knowing I’m doing the best I can.
Sorry about your doggie
Really sorry about the doggie. I have dogs and we just lost one recently. It’s hard.
I have a 13 year old dog that I've had since he was 3 months. I've had to give him to my Aunt while I'm in a program. Not a day goes by that my heart aches to hold him. Probably one of the hardest things right now to deal with during this journey in recovery. He's like my child
I understand how you feel. Every time I went into treatment I’d have to leave him with my parents and that broke me. It’s been a few months now and I see the silver lining. As much as I wish he were still here, in a way, he set me free. I’m more focused on my recovery than ever and I have the most sobriety time I’ve ever had. My dog was always able to know when I was intoxicated and seemed really sad when I was. I’m sure he’s happy looking over me as I’m sober and healthy now.
Thank you....I so needed to hear this right now
And your support helped me as well
Stay strong my man!!
Appreciate you, brotha!
