42 days sober today after smoking weed every day for last 12 years and having major problem with alcohol.. blacking out, etc.. bad decisions, divorce, problems financially… bad choices in men! Feeling amazing today!!! Started a treatment center about 5 weeks ago! Going to meetings.. starting 12 step! Looking to meet new people! Hope you are all having a beautiful Monday!

I’m absolutely thrilled for you! I remember in early recovery how exited I was to wake up without a hangover, without laying there every morning trying to remember what I was embarrassed about this time, not having to spend every dime on drugs and/or alcohol, it was so exiting to feel free and “ normal “ in the morning. Then, along with that excitement, came the many rewards of staying sober. It just keeps getting better. Even during hard times, you’re life will be much better sober. Keep going, you’re doing great!!
