45 days sober living in a Oxford house ,I have a recovery coach,a Mentor, doing outpatient rehab, attending 3 meetings a week, and am actively seeking a Sponsor. I've been trying to create a relapse prevention schedule, to make it harder for me to relapse. "Any suggestions on what else I need to do?"
Congrats man! One day at a time! Get a sponsor, even if it is just a temporary sponsor until you find “the one” and get started on step work! And I know for me, a meeting a day in the first 90 was huge.
I’d also recommend reading the first 165 pages of the BB and downloading the AA app if you haven’t already!
Congratulations
You’re doing an incredible job laying down a solid foundation for your recovery!
One suggestion could be to add daily journaling or meditation to your routine and since it’s the start of a new year it could be a feat way to reflect back to how far you’ve come at the end of the year. Also, building a small network of sober friends for accountability can huge difference. Keep pushing forward, you’re doing amazing!
Thanks Crissy, I am definitely going to take your advice and start journaling and I often take nature walks to reflect on things of a spiritual nature
Parker, I just got 12 step book for Christmas,so I'm on top of it
That's awesome I'm almost 60 days I just try to stay busy and pray a lot and have a lot better group of friends that support me a lot and family
Congratulations.
Heck yeah man!! Works if you work it 🫡🙌🏼
Id say set an intention for the day as well as a general list of goals for the future. Just keep working on becoming a better you
As long as you're at Oxford make sure you play by the rules, too many people come in, don't take it seriously, and end up right back where they started. Treat it as your last resort and take advantage. Good luck
David, one thing I like about Oxford is "Accountability",and it's structured around recovery,so yes, I take it very seriously, because it's saving my life right now
