Being newly sober so I almost feel like I’m just not ready to go to certain social places where there might be alcohol. Not yet. The sober friends who went have years under their belt and obviously feel comfortable enough with going and that’s completely fine. I just stood up and told them I had to leave bc I work early. Anyhow, I’m at home and now watching The First 48..and I’m okay with that. Long story short, I have a ways to go and I’m excited for the newness of everything

Everyone is different, I have 6 months and no way am I ready to be around people drinking alcohol…. You know yourself better than anyone else

I think you did great, knowing limitations is big time stuff!! I didn’t start going to events like that until about the two year mark. I still drive myself in case I need to bounce at anytime. Good going!!
