The gratitude I feel today is a direct result of the work I did yesterday.
•I start my new job today with a clear mind and an open heart.
•Being done at the gym at 7:30 AM.
•Dylan’s third AA birthday.
•Being able to talk to parents about their child’s alcoholism and maybe provide just a little relief.
•The quiet, soft light of Arizona’s early morning sun.
•A phone filled with numbers of supportive friends and honest confidants.
•Prayer and meditation remain non-negotiable.
•God provides me with so many opportunities to be helpful to others.
•My anxiety seems to have subsided.
•The life I’ve found in sobriety is better than anything I dared to imagine.
Recognizing that you’re not where you want to be is a starting point to begin changing your life.
