5 going on 6 weeks today! The longest I’ve gone truly sober and not as a dry drunk. I kept holding on, (ego & pride), to the thought that I could eventually get control back of drinking and that obviously wasn’t the case. I also never asked for help, another ego abs pride thing. This time around I have enlisted the help of multiple professionals and my family who have been incredibly supportive of this journey. 5 weeks isn’t anything to write home about but I truly feel free for the first time in a long time. Keep up the good fight warriors, we got this!
