500 days free of alcohol. To say this year has tested my commitment would be an understatement. Tomorrow is my brother's birthday; he would have been turning 42. Instead of having a drink in his honor, I'm going to listen to his favorite records, cry, pray, maybe learn to play a Garth Brooks song he loved so much. Maybe I'll just stare at the wall...but I'll do it sober.

Congratulations Brittany. Wow what a trying last few months you’ve had. Just so great that you’re here with us trudging ahead clean and sober. I’m so happy that you remained aware through it all that nothing chemical could lessen the grief. Always rooting for you.
