Well, I'm at a 50th bday party in a small room. With loud-AF party people all drinking but me, of course. Not drinking alcohol is easy, it is the social anxiety and feeling of being a black sheep everyone is looking at. It's easy to compliment somebody on Facebook for their sobriety, but in person, people are just naturally different, and you almost get shunned by some.
Anyway, what helps you cope or at least not get so annoyed and frustrated with everyone?

Thanks, it's nice to hear right now that others go through those thoughts. I just held a Dasani water bottle until the water inside almost boiled! Lol!
Welp, that's my life story right there...so that's why this kind of stuff intensifies for me.
It was related by my wife and a sort of work bday party, even better.
I so agree with you Steve!!! Some people sober and drinking can have messed up ways of thinking!!

In a situation like that, I wish the birthday person a happy birthday and then leave.
