53 days today sober… worried about the holidays this year! It’s the first time without my sister-in-law who committed suicide on February 3 , 2021. And the first without my son who I haven’t heard from since the funeral!
Sorry to hear about the loss for your family . Man, the Holliday’s are tough. I was just thinking the same thing. I’m at the beginning of a sober journey and we have the stress of the holidays, the challenges of family stuff, and the desire to stay sober when most people around us are just going to numb with substance. Hang in there . If possible , hold on to a positive memory of your sister in law that brings you comfort. She would want you to keep your sobriety .
