I felt better my 2nd and 3rd day then i do on my 6th day, is this normal? Or to be expected i didnt skeep much last night either naybe an hour if that.
Tbh opiate withdrawals get worse before they get better and it can take awhile for it to get better but you can take gravol, Tylenol etc to help subside some of the unfortunate side effects of getting clean from opiates and benzos can help too n those can help with sleep and anxiety also, hope this helps n good luck!
I'm not sure what your stance is on CBD but that is something that could help also. I have been using a tincture that helps for pain (just had open heart surgery) and it helps with relaxation/sleep as well.
I just wanna be off, I feel if I take anything else besides Tylenol and stuff, all just find another hard habit to kick, so I went cold turkey and it was the best/worse choice of my life, but I’m a fighter and also will fight
I smoke weed almost every day! But thank you, and glad you made it through surgery that’s a big one forsure!
The CBD tincture kept me from using opioids after my hospital stay. Not a fan of how the oxycodone was making me feel
Yes it’s normal. It can take 10-30 days to feel normal physically. And insomnia is typical. Bizarre and vivid dreams are to be expected.
It will all pass. Best thing to do is go to AA/NA meetings and when sleepless read your big book.
Remember the reasons you self-medicated. Find other ways to address them. You can't plan how you feel day to day or what will happen, but you can be prepared. Hugs!
I don’t think we have much for meeting wise in Nova Scotia besides for alcoholism, I don’t see much for N/A meetings, I work a full time job and it’s incredibly hard makes it a lot worse, but where I’m new to my forever job I can’t miss much time and I work with my father in law who wouldn’t understand what I’m going through and would probably drop me, I’m almost 7 days, it does get a little easier but it makes me feel better with what you said, I regained hope again, so from the bottom of my heart i appreciate you taking the time to write me
Thank you for writing me as well I really appreciate you guys so much it means the world to me
You’re very welcome. Consider online meetings. And definitely read your big book
App Store Everything AA has big book, 12&12 and a bunch of great sober stuff.
Thank you again!
Sounds about right.
Totally normal. Your body is still adjusting, and withdrawal can come in waves. Sleep issues do get better with time. Stay hydrated, rest when you can, and hang in there
Opiates are the worst withdrawal effects I would suggest maybe sitting in a hot bath for a hour and maybe then shower afterwards then crawl back into bed and drink some tea your gonna feel so much blah but that's what I did when I wasn't on sublocade I used to withdrawal like badly I couldn't eat food I was getting sick all the time but smoothies helped too I wouldn't get sick off smoothies
Thank you! I should be more clear with opiods I used suboxin not the actual opiods but very similar, stupid choice but that’s how we learn in life!
We learn and grow. You got this!
I used suboxin I’m not the best with spelling but I know it’s similar to opiods I guess they give you this to get off of opiods I just abused it to get off the coke bad Decisions but that’s how we learn I guess. But thank you all this information is so helpful!
