6 days sober but came very close the last couple

6 days sober but came very close the last couple of days. I am so clear and convinced that it’s not worth it but still feel like I’m whiteknuckling it. How do you get past that?!

Gotta get plugged in to something. Only way I know.

You got this! I saw a recent post about “A-listers “ with lots of great tips on creating a set of tools that work for you. We are all so different, and that’s a good thing . What we share is the desire to quit and lead a healthy life. Podcasts, quit lit, meetings , meditation apps. I’m trying it all in these early white knuckle days . Everyone is very supportive here. You can do it !

Good Morning Johnna :sunny:. Both replies above are what I recommend as well. I know a lot of people who have good long term sobriety, and all of them have some sort of daily recovery program. I don’t know anyone that does this alone or without help. As Leslie B said above, there is a great post with many replies and alternatives that was posted by a member named Wedad just a few days ago. Hopefully you can find it and read it. Off the top of my head, there are 12 step programs like AA, as well as several alternatives like The Luckiest Club, and SMART recovery. I can’t remember all of them, but these are the ones that stick out. Plus, you will find many books that are recommended, as well as meditations and prayers. You are ready to take the next step. You deserve it. Go for it!
