We know
My one year was like that. Everyone knew, I was being obnoxious about it. It wasn’t even acknowledged.
My thought is that I have to be the one to appreciate it.

Oh they knew, trust me they knew. They were just afraid to say anything and yet we knew... We definitely knew.
