As someone in recovery too, I know that’s not “just” six months. that’s 6 months of choosing differently, 6 months of showing up, 6 months of doing the hard things instead of escaping them. I love that you said God gave you a new way of life. That’s exactly what it feels like sometimes not just putting the drink down, but actually being given a second chance to live fully and on purpose.
