6 months

I got a new phone a while ago and had not reinstalled Loosid until today. I checked my tracker and hit 6 months yesterday after 30 years of progressively damaging alcoholism. I am Sooooo Greateful to so many who have supported me, primarily my wife. In the first couple of months I found, in this app and some kind souls on it, a great daily outlet & source of support. I listened as some of you, who have been sober for years, offered suportive words of encouragement, as well as stories of wisdom to not let your guard down. Thanks folks.

Foe those just getting started or realy struggling I encourage you to embrace the struggle, focus on the prize of soriety, and know in your heart it is worth the work. Sorry a bit sappy there. It ain't all morning sunshine an bacon fryin', but it all gets better in very incremetal ways. Notice them, remember them and write them here.

ps I realy miss morning sunshine, bacon frying and beer for breakfast. Ha! I just dont miss everything else.

I read your story. Quite a story. "88" was about when was I began my alcoholic journey. I was slow learner. Took me a long time to recognize all the damage I was causing. Thank you for public service.

Congratulations!!!

Hmmm Loosid says user has been deactivated when I try to send a friend request.

Not sure why. Might have something to do with moving the app to my new phone. It seems the apps infrastructure is a bit basic. Thanks for the support a d sharing your stort.

 congratulations! Keep up the strong work...one day at a time.

John, 6 months is huge! You’re doing the work, and it shows. Love seeing how you’re showing up for yourself and others. :raised_hands:
