693 days of sobriety

It two years ago that I finally accepting I was on a path of self destruction, admitting my problems with alcohol and other things. I continued to mess up more and more along that path. I was lost, hopeless, full of self pity after destroying my marriage and on the path to destroying my career I loved more than my marriage. It’s nice to reflect on this time of year and see the growth that I’ve had since those dark times that all of us have experienced. I live a life of honesty now, my career is better than I could have ever dreamed it could be and I’m engaged to someone who accepts me for who I am and supports my sobriety. I know it’s hard to see a life without drugs and alcohol cause I definitely couldn’t imagine it then. But I don’t want to go back to that Ashley and what I have now is worth so much more than a high or drink. #ODAAT #soberlifeisthebest
