7 days of wows

Man, it has been a hard and challenging 7 days. Withdrawals, head aches, temptations to drink, drinking seltzer water when craving a beer.

I know my higher power God(Jesus) and His Spirit has been with me. On top of a DWI and lawyer hiring, at anytime i shouldve just drank. But after being locked up twice in one week and facing court, I have woken up to the fact of not needing that drink.

Prayers appreciated thanks

Prayers have been prayed. Hang in there! The first 5-7 days were the hardest for me. Once I detoxed, I started to feel much better.

You do have to be careful detoxing. It can be dangerous. But it seems like you're over the hump Hopefully.

I pray daily and every minute to God and I just have to trust in Him...

Will be looking into getting on meds for it with my psychiatrist soon

That's probably a very smart idea.

Keep fighting. If you made 7 you can do another 7. The next seven are better, along with some really trying moments thrown in to test you. You can do it and keep doing it. Lots of people on here, this recovering drunk included, rooting for your success in fighting your poison's grip. I didn't think it would be, but life just slowly gets better sober. In some ways just very marginally, and in other ways, health for me, much better. Hope's an prayers.
