7 days sober. Savoring not waking up drunk or with a hangover. Enjoying experiencing things presently/actually remembering convos etc.

Noticing how many ads/tv shows/movies have drinking in them and how seeing someone drinking has been increasing my cravings. Just trying to focus on WHY I’m recovering and not on what I miss sometimes. The benefits of being sober so greatly outweigh the brief joy of being drunk. :two_hearts: sending support to you all, I’m so grateful for this app!!

Way to go :clap::handshake::+1:

False advertising. Instead of looking at the way they glorify drinking, I try to look past it and get pissed about how deceiving and dishonest the industry really is. Marketing to women has really ramped up lately. It’s poison in pretty bottles. When u think about it that way, it may help w the cravings. I like what Ellis said too, play the whole thing out in your head. They never show the consequences in commercials.
You’re doing great! Stick w it! :grin:

I used to wake up with such terrors and anxiety about what I did the night before. It took me hours to even check my phone because I was so scared of who I was. Waking up sober and not having to worry or feel hungover is amazing
