Are we now ready to let God remove from us all the things which we have admitted are objectionable? Can He now take them all - every one? If we still cling to something we will not let go, we ask God to help us be willing.
When ready, we say something like this: "My Creator, I am now willing that you should have all of me, good and bad. I pray that you now remove from me every single defect of character which stands in the way of my usefulness to you and my fellows. Grant me strength, as I go out from here, to do your bidding. Amen." We have then completed Step Seven. I present you my step 7 prayer, it is with a heart of humility to be able to share my defects with yall on this 7 months: The fully surrender prayer in my own words &
understanding:
"Lord God, my Creator and Higher Power Jesus Christ. I
humbly come to you now willing to fully surrender
myself, my will and desires to you.
I give up these character defects I have discovered:
- anger
- Dishonesty
- Selfishness
- Lack of self control
- Pointing finger
- Self Centeredness
Please remove them all from me now, so that I may find
freedom and bring service to you and others. Please give
me your strength from the Holy Spirit, in Jesus name.
Bind my thoughts that are not of you and bind them and
throw them into the trash.
Thank you Lord for hearing me, thank you Lord for
removing these defects. I put my trust and faith in you
Jesus. Thank you for AA and sobriety.
