Today is my 8th year of sobriety and not one of my family remembered. It’s literally the hardest thing I have ever done and no one cares. I know it might not seem like a big deal to them but it’s a HUGE deal for me.

Congratulations! It’s a huge deal to all of us. “They” will never understand. The fact that they don’t even know, is a testament to how amazing you’re doing! They sure knew when you were out there wrecking your life and everyone else’s around you as well. Thank you for sharing your success with us.

It is a BIG DEAL for you and the community that knows firsthand what it takes… US!! Do good things for you, not for anyones acknowledgment. What you have accomplished is awesome and takes courage , guts,etc etc

I understand the feeling of loneliness and that nobody cares. And I care deeply because I understand the family members that don’t get it right away. And yet they may be unsure of what to say and how to say it. You are young and have lots of wonderful memories yet to build.

Honey it is a HUGE deal. But one thing I have learned is that I have done this for myself and no one else. Also, it’s good when they don’t remember after awhile because that means they are heading too and things are getting back where they need to be! You keep it up. They are proud of you. They just don’t express it in soberversaries anymore. They express it with built up trust and love.

Congratulations! What a miracle you are and an inspiration to all. I understand what it’s like to not have the people important to us get how big this is. It’s rough, but we are all here for you.
It’s a HUGE deal don’t let that discourage you to those of us that are at almost 2 yrs 8 seems like a lifetime I’m proud of and for you I can’t wait to be where you are
