Today, I choose gratitude.
•Last night’s H&I was particularly impactful for me. I vividly remember the hopelessness of those couple weeks before and after getting sober.
•I’m almost always genuinely happy.
•I don’t have court today.
•I have a healthy amount of self-esteem.
•Health insurance.
•The awareness to know that even though I’m sober and happy, I’m still just a crazy person who’s been granted a daily reprieve contingent on my spiritual condition.
•I made it out with relatively minor (if any) chronic health issues.
•The way Barkley’s lips crease when he smiles.
•Norman’s big, goofy, open-mouthed pants.
•I have everything I need and most things that I want.
God, thank you for my life.
