9 Months

While I feel incredibly grateful to have 9 months I’m scared. Terrified really. This amount of time is the longest I’ve had and I have gained so much. The promises are coming true and I have so much to lose. I have more in my life than I have ever had and it scares me. It scares me that I could screw all of this up by taking another drink or drug. Just grateful and scared.

You got this. There isn’t an alternative babe. Ya know? That’s how I think of it. There’s NO alternative. It’s keep moving up, or lose it all again and it’ll be a vicious cycle. Just get through it. Because you WILL get through this slump. Like I say every time I’m frustrated with life….this too shall pass, and I’ll have made it through clean! Who would’ve thought :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

You got this! Have faith in yourself and your ability’s. You have 9 months sober! That is nothing to scoff at. As Yoda said… fear leads to anger, anger leads to hate, hate leads to suffering. Be at peace, you have been doing great.

I understand where you’re coming from. After 10 months of sobriety, I’ve put my life back together and don’t want to F it up. Remember the opposite of fear is faith. Have faith that if you take care of you (work a daily program of recovery), the universe will take care of the rest. Let’s focus on doing our best today, and not worry about the future. It’s just ODAAT. Easier said than done, that’s why we must be mindful of this and practice it each day :peace_symbol:

Sounds like healthy fear to me  Just keep doing the deal and you’ll be fine. Every anniversary messes with you a little. Stay connected and you’ll be alright!
