90 days today!

At 11 years old, my first drink turned into my first drunk and I have been chasing that Wonder Woman feeling for decades. In 2006, I sobered up and for 13 years had remained alcohol free. In 2019, I forgot that alcohol into the dark pit of despair and with this insanity began drinking to relieve anxiety. The merry go round of binges, hangovers, and dry spells began for almost 3 years. 11/1/21 I said no more and made the decision to dive into Womens Marathon Meetings and Big Book Reboot. I’m very grateful.

That’s awesome!!!

Very cool. Happens to us all. Glad you made it back. Congratulations on those hard earned 90.

Hi Jacki! Appreciate your post. Also got sober years ago, and remained that way for 20 plus years. I forgot too! The insanity came back stronger than ever.I went on a horrible run for 6 years until I found AA again 191 days ago. Congrats to you for making it back! It’s so nice to be free again! I pray every morning and ask my higher power to not let me forget I’m an alcoholic today, and to give me the strength and courage to work my program of recovery. It’s great to be a part of this amazing recovery community. We do this together! Have a blessed day :peace_symbol::pray:
