My son moved back home with me recently while he’s in between jobs. I am so grateful for his company at a time when I wasn’t doing very well. I have been struggling with what to do with myself in retirement, and I’ve been feeling very lonely - and turning to alcohol to drown out the feelings. He has given me a new outlook on life lately! He’s an amazing cook and has a great sense of humor.

Short ribs, butternut squash polenta, with roasted red peppers and arugula. He cooks and I run around yelling “yes chef”.
