I am grateful for my 17 years of sobriety. I am able to soend 3 days in Vegas with coworkers abd not feel the need to drink. I was complimented by a few coworkers on being able to go to a place like vegas and stay strong.

Absolutely!! You should be proud of yourself as well!!! That's a BIG accomplishment. And congrats on your sober time. I just made 6 years back in April and I remember a time when I couldn't get 6 hours. So you should be extremely proud of yourself!!

That’s very inspiring. I want to travel but only have a year and worry about the temptation to drink that would likely arise. Maybe someday. Thanks for sharing.
You are right. Traveling to a place like that when you are still fairly new to sobriety can be a bad idea. Be open about it if you are traveling with anyone. The good news is, as you get more time behind you being around drunks is the best reinforcement to stay sober!!!
