My alarm just went off on my phone, adding another 5 years to this sobriety deal.
I dont keep track, as a norm. Ive always found it was just more stress and pressure than i needed for those first 10 or 12 years.
Keeping it simple, staying in concious contact with God, helping others, and loving without condition was the best way i found to get by.
When I had real questions, I asked the old timers. Sometimes the questions were too much. I’d go to Florida and hang out at the Rusk Club House and listen to those old timers cause they liked to all gang up on me and that’s what I like.
I’d get good cigars at Pink Plaza and they would get a mess of good ice cream.
We sat out on the picnic tables, and I got everything I needed from some wonderful people who had no more reason to love me than the man on the moon.
But by God they did and they saved my life along with my sponsor and co-sponsor and all the people back home.
