I’ve been sober a little over 3 years and have been ready to meet someone for a while. Online dating is a nightmare already and then you mention recovery and people run. I’m always honest and try to get it out of the way before meeting. For once I received the most positive response, as her brother got sober in AA and she says it saved his life. She’s totally cool with it and we have a date planned. No expectations but it’s nice to know there are still a people who get it and won’t judge you. So, a little win but renews my hope.
