A train wreck!

I’m so torn apart the woman I fell in love with is bisexual and wasn’t honest with me when we started dating 6 months ago. I’m torn apart.

If you're upset that she wasn't upfront about it it deserves a conversation as to why she didn't want or feel the need to tell you. Maybe she was ashamed; it still happens even in 2022. Or she didn't think it was neccesary to tell you, especially if yall were monogymous. And it could also of been too awkward for her to bring that up at the start of the relationship. As long as she wasn't cheating or flirting behind your back, then I'd say let it go. You loved all of her yesterday, so you should still today.

I’m sorry, brother. Women can be cruel, and ascribing self worth based on their perceived value of you can be debilitating. You’re worth more than that, brother!

Now days you need to know someone inside out, upside down, front and back before you give your heart away or you will end up demolished. I’m ready to start requiring background checks. Feel better.

That’s awesome and smart, my background will show you A couple possession charges and multiple DUIs. I don’t want you to think I’m another train wreck waiting to happen. :joy: I have just been looking for love in all the wrong places. I’m not ever going to settle for nothing but the best going forward.

It’s a difficult time because I fell in love with my neighbor and found out she’s bisexual, she ripped my heart out, I was going to ask her to marry me. The positive side is I found out before I asked her.

She should have told you from the beginning tbh. I myself am a lesbian & I have dated & started relationships in the past with a few bisexual women. It’s true nowadays ppl should get background checks lol (I’ve also been catfished…another story) but all & all if she’s with you & loves you & is faithful to you Rob that’s all that matters. My now ex gf was bisexual prior to me but is now lesbian. It’s different for everyone. My ex wife was lesbian & is now bisexual. So yeah ppl are different. And your gf very well might have not thought it was important to mention in the beginning & now she’s willing to be honest about it. I can’t speak for everyone in the LGBTQ community but I know it’s hard for some to just come out and tell people because they are afraid of what society will think. Not everyone is quick to be accepting. If you need a friend to talk to about it message me anytime. Pray about all this buddy & good luck.

Sorry for your hurt, I believe she should have been upfront from the beginning, so you could make your own choice. As a person in recovery I have so many things in my past, I try and focus on today. Get busy in your program, call your sponsor, work the steps, and get on your knees. The most important thing is just don't pick up matter what.

Who gives a sh7t? Why does it bother you so much? It's not even a big deal. Honestly, I think it's shìtty of you to even make a big deal about something that someone shared with you, and now you're here whining about it on the internet? Come on man. Let it go. what would your boy Jesus do? Probably wouldn't make a big deal about it.

Am I missing something? What’s wrong with being bisexual? Is it even a big deal? Maybe she had to get to a point where she was comfortable telling you. On behalf of the bi community, we’re not all bad people. We’re just like every other group, some of us are cool, some of us are jerks, some of us are somewhere in between.
Don’t get upset because she shared her sexual preferences. It’s a positive thing.

It may not be a deal breaker for you, but for some it is. So it very well could be a big deal for him. If it is not a “big deal” then why not disclose right up front?

Maybe it’s a big deal to feel comfortable with some one before disclosing it. Maybe she has just come to the realization.
But it’s good to know that in some circles I could still be a big deal.

Hey you do you. If you read his post it said she wasn’t honest. And someone’s comfort does not supersede another’s choice to make an informed decision. That’s bordering on predatory when it comes to matters of the heart. First date topics… I don’t travel over seas, I am allergic to cats, I don’t go camping… I have been in relationships with both men and women. Starting off and continuing a relationship after the third date without disclosures is dishonest and frankly rude.

I can see both sides of it, I really can. But it just seems kinda absurd to me, from where I'M standing and looking from.

"Bi community"? Come on now. That sounds ridiculous.

It's not 1955 anymore. Trade in those white New Balances and adapt to the times a little bit. If the girl is bi, then being a total baby about it and having a meltdown over it sure isn't pleading your case as to why she should be with men. Also, she accepted you and your very pushy religious thing but you can't accept where she finds companionship? Seriously folks, live by your own book, if you really want to remain relevant.

Thanks Taylor, I’m only upset she wasn’t upfront with me and honest with me from the start. But I’m moving forward and hoping nothing but the best for her.

Your so right Shelli

She wasn’t honest and that’s the only problem I have with her.

Wow, great advice thanks

Well I can understand that man. But maybe she just didn't get to it yet, because of your very religious stance. She was afraid to be judged. We all do that, we all hold back sometimes for fear of being judged and the ones of us who don't hold back are judged too, so it gets complicated.

Stop tripping on it. Go over and tell her your a douche and you're sorry for having a meltdown, but also ask her to be honest from now on and you'll do the same. Have some coffee, Netflix and chill, stay sober be happy.
