A year ago today…

I went into my 2nd inpatient, from my first medical detox (plenty of times self-detoxing), stayed for 45 days. Got out and into my third sober living (house manager at one of our locations now). After ten years of trying, I’ve hit a year for the first time. Actively sponsored, on the “maintenance” steps, looking for sponsees, and work a program of action. It’s not all rainbows and unicorn farts, but it sure as heck is better than how I was living. I’m truly grateful to the program/fellowship of AA/NA, my family, and my higher power. Bring it on!
