I cried at a meeting just over 3 weeks ago as I shared asking, begging for help. It was my first meeting since 2018 and the desperation I felt was far greater than ever before, at least 1000x, that’s how bad I had gotten. I didn’t connect as well as I had hoped the first few tries in 2016-2018, but I know that was my fault. I had people to reach out to but I still didn’t reach out. This time I’m doing everything I can to stay connected and the people I talk to daily are amazing.

I’m 10 months in and still get flashes of things and get emotional

Being vulnerable and emotional is a good sign of recovery and healing IMO

That can be hard and scary but I know you feel better now. Proud of you!

My problem right now is not that I feel better. It’s that I just want to go to bed and go to sleep. This is the most depressed I have been in a while. Don’t be alarmed as I am not suicidal I just want to get out of my own head and no I am not going to drink.

Yaaaaaassss! First time is the hardest but it will get easier as you go! A problem shared is a problem cut in half. Talking about it allows you to take your power back!

Hey its great to hear you shared at a meeting, sharing at meetings scares me so much. I'm glad you had the courage to do it. I get emotional sometimes while sharing and it's extremely draining. In the past I'd get so wrapped up in self after sharing, all my character defects and pride would be in overdrive. The program helped me alot with this. There was plenty of growing pains for me though :slightly_smiling_face:

Way to go,after reading you post, I had a sigh of relief! Lightn the load.

I cried the entire first year.
