Many of you helped me realize that being a closet alcoholic is not helpful in my recovery.. Soo, I made plans with two of my best friends for next Sunday or Monday, we haven't been close in a really long time but I miss them
I think they knew I had a problem but never mentioned it, well they did.. but in a passive aggressive way, I think they just didn't want to tick me off
I'm going to sit down with them over breakfast or lunch and tell them about my addiction. I think it will help with taking accountability, and maybe they can be helpful. They are both very understanding, and I believe it will be a good step towards my recovery
I attended an online meeting, and planning on attending more. Thanks for the raw Truth, I needed it.

This is such a good idea. I am really proud of you for taking this step. Itβs not easy but itβs worth it! Only good can come out of it.

it may be hard in the moment, but you will feel better for it. Telling my friends I was done drinking, and admitting that it was because Iβm an alcoholic, was so relieving. That kind of radical honesty does wonders for your connections with people.
