I noticed many here are new to sobriety, those who’ve been sober longer, what’s one piece of advice you’d share? Even if you’re new, drop something that’s helped you!
Unconditional acceptance. Accept you can't get better alone. Accept the help of a program and others. Accept your condition.
Acceptance doesn't mean we are happy about things, only that things are as they are.
To not let your circumstances and trauma define the person you are. Reach out for support. I loved Celebrate Recovery a god based recovery program. God saved me. He gave me the strength to choose me and not drugs. He showed me I was worth saving and being loved. We all are so Loved by God.
Give yourself some grace
Read the big book. It made me cry.
Go to atleast 3 meetings a week. A speaker, a book study, and an open share.
Work the steps.
As a chronic relapse from my experience doing those 3 keeps me sober. 4 years now
Those are my suggestions
