After a really rough week, full of nightmares, flashbacks, painful memories resurfacing, & temptations of self sabotage, I’m still sober. 27 days. Trying to be proud of myself today. Isn’t it funny how it’s so easy to be proud of others on this journey, and yet so difficult to be proud of ourselves sometimes?
Stay strong,I felt the same,I've got 242 days,it's always easier to see someone else "doin it".
I just bought this book Happy Days by Gabrielle Bernstein! The guided path from trauma to profound Freedom and inner peace ! It is a great read as she too had an addiction to alcohol. Very inspiring and something you can turn to when in need!
You are doing fantastic! You are an inspiration. Keep up all the hard work and please celebrate yourself everyday
What a true statement! It's always easier to be proud of others, than we are of ourselves. Sadly, we are our own worst enemies.
Attempt to take solace in the small accomplishments whatever that looks like to you. Also attempt to savior the little things. For me I still see how I can get in my own way due to misinterpreting the signals and stimulus around and putting it through the lens of prior trauma or hurt or shame. Then if I am fortunate enough to step back and see everything and possibly a lesson I should take then I can see how far I really have come and enjoy the beauty of nature. Pardon if this was long and rambling.
That was great. Uplifting. Not long and rambling at all. Thanks.
