Agnostic sponsor

There’s nothing wrong with the program the way it is but I’m agnostic so maybe it’s wise for me to find a sponsor that shares my beliefs.. how do I find one??

Perhaps your beliefs and your thinking are what brought your demise. Perhaps it might be prudent to suspend your disbelief and find a sponsor who lives his life in a way you admire.....and find out how he did that.

I once thought as you. For me, having the humility to admit that I didn't know what it took to stay sober directed me to seek out such a sponsor. Someone who's life I admired.

In the process I learned that I needed to change my mind about a lot of things.

I hope you find a sponsor who challenges you.....not a yes man.
Good luck.

I agree with Leigh. Keep an open mind and be willing to do whatever it takes for your sobriety

Disregard those two^ being a non believer is not what lead to your "demise". Anyone who says this shît to you is an aššhole. The world is filled to the brim with believers who can't get their lives straight. Ignore that ignorant nonsense.

There are secular AA meetings, not sure where you are, but they are all over. There are many online as well. Don't give up. I am an atheist and attend 4 agnostic meetings here in a cleveland a week. It's out here. No need to follow the herd (unless you want to) Most of the time when they tell you to "keep an open mind" all they really want you to do is think like them, and embrace their god.

Agree. I’m so tired of people thinking sobriety means God

I agree. Find a sponsor who shares your viewpoint on key parts of your identity but use a temporary sponsor until you find them.
