So i’m living out of an airbnb. I live in NY and they want so much proof of this and that, that i’m unable to find an apartment of my own. The airbnb looks nice but the owner is right on the other side of a second door in our room. I can hear every word he says. i’m paying almost 2k a month to speak in whispers that still seem too loud. it’s ridiculous.

What part of NY are you in? You can’t rent an apartment in western NY for like 700 bucks. You is not a rock girl! Moooovvvvveee lol

I’m in NYc too it’s sad lots of money for little space ,. Where are you at ? My husband is in real estate … just be aware they do require a lot of documentation to be able to be eligible for an apartment … if you need help we are here ..
my issue is have no car! i’d gladly move to any other state let alone another part of NY but i don’t know how to without a car

the documentation is my main issue. i have savings. a 660 credit score. but i’m not currently employed i’ve applied for like 30+ jobs, no response. i’d move anywhere, pay multiple months rent up front, anything to have my own home

That is an issue if you don’t have employment.. they are very strict here .. what neighborhoods are you looking at ?

i wish. i don’t really have any family. i could pay six months rent up front or more if needed. i’m so desperate.
You might be able to get a 1/2 lease for 6 months but laws in nyc prohibit paying up front rent or maybe a month by month lease

Try looking for a roommate, but then again you will need proof of employment.Here in Houston you must show three times the rent.I pay a 1,000 plus pet fee. And that is cheap where I live.
