Ive been considering attending an al-anon meeting. Can somebody in recovery go too? I feel i fit the criteria and im wondering if anyone that has the experience of being in recovery and also attending al-anon, and if they would recomend it?and what can I expect?

Yes and definitely. I attend both AA and Al-Anon meetings weekly. I am 3 years sober and my Al-Anon qualifier is my wife. She is an active alcoholic. I have told my story of recovery in Al-Anon and I was received with open arms. Come to find out that there are quite a few “double winners” in my group. I continue to gain strength courage and hope from both groups. If you have any questions please ask.
