Having faith in yourself and a higher power was the turning point in my addiction. We all know healing isn’t always pleasant but it’s definitely a crucial part. Getting started is one of the hardest parts yet one of the most rewarding. Feel free to message me anytime for any reason at all. Stay strong you got this!

While you're waiting for "faith" to help you out, get your a$$ to a few meetings and talk to some people. That will surely help.

I had zero faith when I started. You just need a power that’s greater than yourself. The group itself can be a great start. G.O.D. (Group of Drunks)

When I started I didn't know what having faith even felt like. Once I seen the effect god had on others like me (alcoholics) it made my higher power seem more tangible.

Example: You can't see the wind, but you can feel it and see how it effects the leafs on a tree.

My own concept was the starting point, developing a relationship with my higher power strengthened my faith.

Every piece of research says that having some spiritual life, either organize religion, some form of spiritual practice, etc. serves as a protective factor for people suffering from addiction. One important thing to be mindful of is that, often, in the beginning some other form of help is also needed.
