I am transitioning into step 2 today as I enter 14 days sober which has been the first time in 8 months.
I rationalized my way to this point not thinking inhad a problem or needed help. I made sure everyone around was hurt amd tested their love for me.
This is the insanity part testing everyone love for me so that they can eventually hate me.
A power greater then our self 
restoring us back to sanity. There are 3 parts of our Disease. The spiritual part our self-centeredness. The mental part, the Obsession. And the Physical part , the conpoltion. And step 2 frees us from the insanity of Obsession. And that power can be many things , God, the group & anything that takes us out of Obsession.
