Almost have made it through day 1, I have quit

Almost have made it through day 1, I have quit for 30 days several times so I am focused as of today on 30 days… then another 30. It’s time, I have lost to much to this demon and it’s gotta stop!

Hang in there Doug. This demon also took everything away from me and it’s been a tough journey to even get my self respect back. I hope you find a path towards sobriety that works for you.

Hey Sarah just wondering how you did it ? Quit drinking?

I would do the 30 day thing and then start drinking again, so many times. I am a year sober in 2 days . Best decision I have ever made. You can do it too. Life is :100: better on this side . Good luck to you

Well I have a long history of drinking and drug use. Drinking wasn’t as much my issue in my life right now. I was doing drugs mostly and drinking a-little here and there . BUT… I was doing intense outpatient therapy (IOP) but still using every.single.day. I knew I couldn’t do it alone and drove myself to rehab. Best decision I EVER MADE. If your struggling and can’t get past those first couple days or weeks. I highly recommend just checking in. There are so many great rehabs and let me tell you… I never thought I would have 29 days today. If you want more info, just DM me. I know if your a BIG drinker there’s a shot called vivitrol that helps immensely with the process and there’s options for u. Most importantly… coming off alcohol is more serious because of the withdrawals . I hope this helped a bit. :kissing_heart:

It’s so good to ditch the hangovers and let ur body heal. Everyone has a different sobriety journey. I hope u find the tools u need to stay sober. It’s so worth it. We’re here for u. Keep it going!

Hi Vicki, my gosh thank you does not seem to cover it:) So glad I have found this community:)

I’ve found this app so helpful in the times I feel alone in my desire and commitment to b sober. Sometimes it seems as if the whole world is drinking and have no consequences or reservations about doing so, feeling like they can handle it, why can’t I? That’s where Loosid comes in and makes me feel not so alone and there are literally thousands of people just like me from all stages of life and backgrounds. That is so comforting in the tough times. I’m so thankful for the support!
