The first day is the hardest
After the first day it gets easier! I drank every night for decades and am nearing 3 yrs sober and strong in my sobriety. One day at a time is the deal. Sounds cliche’ but it’s amazing how good i felt after a week, month, year, 2 and nearing 3 w/out evil alcohol..and i couldn’t imagine a night w/out drinking for so long like it was what i needed..but that’s what our disease tells us. One day builds on the next and the next until you realize alcohol was the cause of problems & suffering. Congrats on starting your new life today!
