I had the chance to go out and drink and party last night but I really fought the urge and stayed in bed until I fell asleep. I’m so happy I didn’t mess up and give into it. Just wanted to share
One minute, hour, day at a time. You can do it. Stay in the moment. Good for you.
Thank you
Thank you girl.. the mental power and strength this takes is unbelievable!
Remember, real alcoholics and addicts understand that willpower by itself is futile. Being willing is different and that is the suggested train of thought when accepting help and guidance from a 12 step program and all of the supportive people you will meet in that change of lifestyle.
Thank you so much
Try to build a "support group." Recovery should not be a"fight" that one faces alone. Also, I don't put myself in situations where I'll be around people who are using/drinking. If I did this would be SO difficult and I prolly wouldn't have several years clean! If I get the urge to drink or use other drugs I call another person in my support group and tell them right away. Sharing these challenging thoughts or feelings make them much easier to process without giving in to them.I recover with the help of others. I'm glad that you stayed home.
Great job! I agree with John finding someone to call during that time wouldn’t hurt.

Congrats! You should be proud! It's not always an easy choice, but you did it and you'll be able to wake up without a hangover.
I need to find my support group outside of this to wear I can call if needed. Even tho this helps a ton!
Thank you so much
Exactly!!! I was awake and able to think straight.
Yes! Loosid is great for meeting new friends in recovery. If there are people here with some sobriety, then support one another. But I agree with you about going to meetings and going from there.
